From Waterford, Ireland Anita formed the Celtic Rock band ANITA AND THE YANKS and played laying a slew of iconic venues, and sessions including The Big Irish Fair LA, The Seaside Highland Games, The Roxy, The Brixton, The Queen Mary, and Casey’s in LA. Inspired by the strength of Dolores O’Riordan, The Cranberries, Alanis Morissette, and Heart, Anita chose to focus on her original music. and create a new project, THE MANSFIELD BAND in 2013 featuring original songs driven by Anita’s vocals, melody, and lyrics. Anita joined up with percussionist Brendan McCarthy to build on the current leg of her musical journey. A simple and authentic expression of her original folk rock and she is excited to continue bringing this music to her fans. Anita sings from the heart and with her haunting Celtic lilt and wide vocal range she touches the souls with her rich sound.
